Reviews and Ratings
I arrived at the hotel, and the location was perfect for exploring the local area, especially since we needed to break up a long journey. The rooms were cozy and had such a great view from the window, but I did feel a bit unnerved by how close it was to the window. The service was friendly, although the communication about the modems under the room was a bit puzzling at times. The dining was good but could use a little improvement, even though the sandwiches were fresh and tasty. The facilities were nice overall, and I enjoyed the Tweed covered seats. Price-wise, it was reasonable for what we got.
The hotel was excellent, absolutely spotless throughout, and it's lovely. Just down the road, though above the bar area - a little noisy, but then it is a pub. The service was extremely friendly and helpful, and the brilliant breakfast was awesome. The location was perfect to break up a long journey and to visit the Lakes District, just off the motorway. The dining was delicious, especially considering there were lots of walkers staying. A few sweet products were available as well.
My stay at the hotel was overall pleasant. The room was clean and comfy, and the staff were genuinely friendly. However, the dining experience could have been better with more breakfast options. The location was convenient, but the Wi-Fi had an extra charge.
The hotel is ideal for breaking up a long journey and exploring the local area. The rooms exceeded my expectations with a nice surprise of a bath and a comfortable bed, but lacked a bedside lamp. The service was friendly but seemed a bit under pressure at times, and the dining experience was good but could use a little improvement. The location was great for visiting the Lakes District and traveling around the area.
The hotel provided good advice about nearby attractions, offering spacious, clean, and nicely furnished rooms at good value. Despite being quiet, noise from the electrified railway could be heard throughout the night. The front side rooms had seats outside but were sometimes noisy due to local activity until closing time.
